IBM Systems Technical Universities Offer Accelerated Learning for New Z Programmers and Engineers

accelerated learning

Building, maintaining and refreshing skills must be a critical focus area for IT organizations, in order to protect the businesses that they serve. With the role of the IBM Z platform at the heart of global enterprise, the mainframe skills topic has seen significant energy from clients, academic institutions, industry partners and IBM alike. I’m excited to share a new resource available to you to help accelerate the learning of your more recent IBM Z programmers and engineers.

At several upcoming IBM Systems Technical Universities, IBM is offering a dedicated track called z/OS for Rookies. IBM Lab Services is partnering with Interskill to propose a compelling learning package that combines face-to-face sessions with e-learning over a three- to five-month period.

The full week of in-person sessions will enable your newer team members to get started and go deep on IBM Z with hands-on training delivered by IBM technical training instructors. In addition, IBM is partnering with Interskill to offer 53 Z mainframe e-learning courses, at no additional cost, to attendees of the Rookies track. The Interskill courses will be offered prior to the event, available on registration and available for three months following the event. The figure below lists some of the courses available.

We are convinced that this compelling learning package will accelerate the skill level of your more recent Z hires. The track is currently scheduled to be offered at two upcoming IBM TechU conferences in Orlando, Florida, and London. Take a closer look.
